Rich began his varied legal career in 1994 as an Estate Tax Attorney at the Internal Revenue Service. At the IRS, he audited federal estate & gift tax returns of some of the wealthiest families in Wisconsin. In 2006, he was awarded the prestigious National Achievement Award by the IRS for his work on several complex audits. In 2006, Rich joined Robert W. Baird & Co. as Director of Estate Planning. At Baird, he consulted with higher net worth clients about estate planning in 78 branch offices in 26 states. In 2014, he joined Annex Wealth Management as Director of Estate Planning Services. In addition to consulting with Annex clients about estate planning, he also appeared regularly as a guest on Annex radio programs, WTMJ's Money Talk, and WISN's The Investment Show. Rich also developed and taught a course on advanced estate planning as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School from 2008-2013.
